Shipping delays cost money. As soon as the van loading data is collected, it can be transferred into the SIMBA database, and your bill of lading is ready to be printed (see below). Use a portable data collection device, such as the CK30, to scan the case or pallet labels as they are loaded into a shipping container or a tramper vessel. Get an accurate shipping weight for that container or shipment in seconds – and avoid demurrage charges. A cross docking service can use the information you provide in the bar code in similar ways to expedite freight movement.
